Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Contractor Network ("Contractor Network," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, application, and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Contractor applications: full name, phone number, email address, trade, license tier and license number, whether you carry general liability insurance, the areas you serve, your availability, and any notes you submit.
- Job requests (customers): your name, phone number, service address, and a description of the problem or service needed.
- Job records: details related to a booked or dispatched job, including status, scheduling, completion notes, and completion photos submitted by contractors.
- Communications: the content of messages, calls, and support requests you exchange with us.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect limited technical information such as your device and browser type, IP address, and basic usage and diagnostic data (for example, error reports). This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.
1.3 Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Card and financial account details are collected and handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy policy; we do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited transaction information such as amounts, status, and payout records.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service — verifying contractors, booking and pricing jobs, dispatching jobs, and coordinating completion;
- To process payments to us and payouts to contractors;
- To communicate with you about applications, jobs, dispatch, status updates, and review requests;
- To verify licenses, insurance, and eligibility;
- To maintain safety, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- To improve, secure, and develop the Service; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Between customers and contractors: to coordinate a job, we share the information reasonably necessary to perform it — for example, a customer's service address and problem description with the dispatched contractor, and a contractor's identity with the customer.
- Service providers: we use trusted vendors to run the Service, including Supabase (database and storage), Stripe (payments and payouts), Twilio (SMS/text and telephony), and our voice-agent and hosting providers. They may process information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public, or enforce our Terms.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Text messages (SMS)
With your consent, we send operational text messages related to the Service, such as job dispatch notifications, accept/decline links, status updates, and review requests. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. Opting out of operational messages may limit your ability to use the Service. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Service may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and to understand basic usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and restricting database access to server-side systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the email below, and we will respond consistent with applicable law. Texas residents and residents of other states may have additional rights regarding their personal data under applicable state privacy laws; to exercise any such rights, contact us using the details in the Contact section. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on and may link to third-party services (such as Stripe, Twilio, and Supabase). Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
